Meg Smith

I’ve lived in the Napa Valley my entire life and I’ve been told that I take for granted the beauty of my surroundings, the freshness and bounty of the produce, and the world-renowned wine that we drink.

I was raised during the Northern California food revolution of the 1970‘s. My mother cooked gourmet dinners from scratch every night, my father made (and continues to make) award-winning wine on vineyards high in the mountains overlooking St. Helena.

My mother has also always been a talented photographer and she had a make-shift darkroom where she processed her film and printed photographs. The beauty of her images and the magic of the darkroom are what inspired me to become a photographer.

After a busy career photographing celebrity and high-profile weddings around the world, I have returned to my roots. I love to photograph food, wine and gardens - and the activities that surround and support them.
